What can people do to help ? There is something everyone can do , Find your MP - click on the link below & enter your post code ,http://www.upmystreet.com/commons/l/ When you get there name for your area, call there office at this number, ( 020 7219 3000 ) - House of Commons They all have an office there, ask to speak to your MP's office and ask to arrange a meeting at there Surgery,

they will meet you its there job If you explain your involvement and that you would like there support for what you are doing as forming part of a Commission for Youth Social Enterprise for young people by young people,

and following meeting Phil Hope - ( Minister ) he suggested for us to contact our MPs ,if as many of us can do this it will make a big difference , 1 MP has already confirmed there support and that we will be able to use a meeting room at Parliament if needed.

?What If! will offer meeting space at their offices (subject to availability) when the group wants to get together. Book early to avoid disappointment!!

When wanted, ?What If! and UnLtd will ask a guest speaker to these sessions – either as inspirational stimulus or to give practical info around a topic (legal, funding…)

UnLtd will provide logistical support for these meetings – distributing invitations, maps etc

UnLtd will offer a web platform on their new site to host the online group community

Angela and Bhanita will offer 30min remote coaching slots in the morning of first Monday of every month. Contact them directly to book a time – angela.smith@whatifinnovation.com, bhanita.mistry-russell@whatifinnovation.com

UnLtd will try to broker internships (work placements) for anyone interested either at UnLtd or within other funding organisations

As ?What If! and UnLtd pursue other initiatives for young social entrepreneurs we will call upon the group to support and help design this work. UnLtd have already begun work exploring ways to continue BigBoost funding and will involve the Commission in driving this process forward

Wilson Rock: The Making of a Disabled Porn Star?

The ground breaking and inspirational journey of two friends, pushing back social and cultural boundaries by challenging head-on, the last frontier of sexual discrimination.
Highlighting and investigating the stereo typical representation of disabled people as non sexual beings with a series of interviews and exposés from an internationally recognized cast of sex pioneers, psychologists, educators, pornographers, broadcasters, authors and specialists.

Daniel Terry, a 25 year old, disabled writer and Jason Young, 35 year old filmmaker, inspired by the findings of their investigation and research, tell their story documenting this journey of discovery, culminating in the making of an adult entertainment DVD (using disabled and able-bodied contributors) that can arouse, stimulate and educate both able-bodied and disabled viewers alike.

Thus breaking barriers and creating the ultimate evidence of the potential for a more positive and pro-active sexual identity for disabled people.
Lets be very clear, as the word 'porn' has created some concerns from contributors and potential funders. The documentary funding is completely separate from the proposed adult entertainment DVD, written by Daniel, entitled 'The Disabled Sex Gods & Goddesses - Vol.1' financed, directed and produced by Anna Span, 35year-old, leading UK pornographer, feminist speaker, author and sex campaigner for Easy-on-the-Eye Productions (Find out more about Anna here http://www.annaspansdiary.com/).

The adult entertainment DVD will include an interview with Daniel and Jason, regarding the aims and motivations behind the film as well as the educational benefits of the project as a whole. The film is as much about sex education, as adult entertainment.
However, thier involvement in the adult entertainment DVD is dependent on them making the documentary, to maximize the impact of the project aims and promotional opportunities. They are fully committed and passionate about sharing the surprising and important findings of thier research. The making of an adult entertainment DVD featuring a disabled man, is a key part of that research.

"If we can highlight the social and cultural issues and educate people about the benefits disabled sexuality can bring, helping to create a more positive sexual identity it will be a success. The market for adult entertainment DVDs now accounts for more revenue than Hollywood films per annum. Its time we face up to the influence of sexuality on us all."

I firmly believe a commission for social/youth enterprise would be extemely beneficial indeed. Firstly to the government so we can provide them with a valuble resource and outlet to inform them of what young social entrepreneurs needs.

Secondly to provide an important foundation to help budding young social entrepreneurs build a platform to help get their ideas up and running.

Big Boost Summer Academy 2007 was So Successful that 2008 has been confirmed ,

After a special week of learning and sharing as a group we have decided that staying in touch as a network would be important way for us t make a difference ,
another way s to develop a commission to enable the group to be able to produce a study & report
about what we think are the Key issues for young people and Social Enterprise ,
this is an open blog for the group to add our thoughts as this develops ,
